The Sonja Dahlgren Pryor Conductor’s Chair Endowment Fund was established to ensure the stability of Chorus North Shore (CNS) by honoring the dedication of Sonja Dahlgren Pryor who has led us for over 60 years in advanced choral arts.
Under Sunny’s legendary skillful hands, Chorus North Shore has grown into a pre-Covid 140-voice chorus which sings numerous masterworks such as: The Verdi Requiem; Brahms Requiem; Carmina Burana; and Handel’s Messiah. In addition to sharing her love of important choral pieces, Sunny inspires singers to continually push their choral abilities.
Chorus North Shore has become an important part of not only our lives; but since 1931, also for the broader North Shore community that attend our performances.
Sunny has devoted over 60 years to nurturing Chorus North Shore singers. Recognizing that a time will come when Sunny chooses to step down from the podium, this Endowment Fund is our plan for the future.
The Conductor’s Chair Endowment Fund will be used to hire and retain a successor who will help CNS continue the journey of learning and performing important choral works for our North Shore community.
All are welcome to participate by making a gift to The Sonja Dahlgren Pryor Conductor’s Chair Endowment Fund. As an IRS-approved 501(c)3 Fund, all contributions are fully tax deductible. We welcome employer matching gift opportunities.
